Why Although we had originally thought about an alumni site, time and financial constraints didn't permit us. Consequently, we came up with the idea of creating it ourselves, using a free host and publishing it using our personal internet time. This is the first time any batch in the history of the institute has ever attempted anything like this. But we hope it isn't the last. Graduates 2004 is meant to bring all our new doctors closer together and have something that can be used to relive memories. The site not only consists of photos and details of the 1998-1999 batch, but also all others who graduated with us. After all, friendship and camaraderie knows no age. How It wasn't easy. Not only did most of us not have the hardware, this is the first time any of us is creating a website. And with the limited resources, it was difficult for us to use a professional. It involved a lot of work. Collecting the individual portraits, collecting the pictures for the photo gallery and scanning over a hundred photo proved to quite a difficult task. Another thing that was pretty frustrating was publishing the site. Although the site was complete quite a few days before Laurus 2004, we had a tough time uploading all the data. We had to use a free server for hosting (hence the ads), and that's where we had all the problems. A number of free servers were checked out, however, our internet connections were too slow and we kept getting server time outs every time we tried the upload! After a lot of searching and with the help of a few friends, we found this server that not only had the least amount of ads, but also allowed us to publish the site with ease. Finally I would like to thank Dr. Chandan Jadhav and Dr. Prashanth K.S. for all the effort they put into providing me with all the photos. Not to mention Dr. Sabeel Ahmad who borrowed a scanner to help us out and Dr Sree Vathsa who helped out with the scanning. Also, I would like to thank Dr. K. Kavipriya, Dr. Chandan Jadhav and Dr. Shantan Reddy for contributing the write-ups for the website. And I am grateful to Dr. R. Ravindran, his brother Prithvi and the latter's friend's who took the time out to teach me Flash. Man, they were one fun bunch of guys. In conclusion, I would like to thank the people of Laurus 2004, without whom the site would not have been possible. Thank you all. I have even started a forum where everyone can come and post their messages. You will find the link every page of the site. Feel free to e-mail me for any errors made in the personal information of each graduate. You can also send me photos of your friends and of any occasion that you would like to share.
